• A Ghana mobile number
• Your Ghana Card, when the Ghana Card check opens (you are then checked once a year)
• A clear photo of your face, and photos of your best work
• A mobile money account in your own name for payouts (you can add this once you get your first job)

Signing up takes a minute: your number, a code we text you, your name, your main trade, where you work, and a 4-digit PIN. After that, open your Profile and add your photo, a short bio, your services with prices and your working hours. Once your profile is complete you can go live. The Ghana Card check is opening soon: we will tell you when, and verified artisans get a Ghana Card badge on their profile. You will be asked for your mobile money number the moment you send a quote or accept your first job, so we are ready to pay you.

When a client posts a job near you, we text you straight away so you can be first to respond, even if the app is closed. You and the client can chat and share photos of the job inside the app before you accept, so you know what you are walking into. If the client suggests a different price, you can accept it or reply with your own, and you only go ahead once you both agree.

After each job the client rates you on quality of work, communication, punctuality and professionalism. You rate the client too, and only other artisans see a client's average. A review goes public once you have rated the client, or after 14 days. You can reply to any review in public.

If you run a registered business, you can sign up as a company. Add your registration certificate and tax certificate (TIN), and the director's Ghana Card is checked as usual. Once our team approves the documents, clients see a “Registered company” badge on your profile.

Clients can mark a job as needed today. Urgent jobs are texted to you first, so keep your phone number up to date and reply quickly. Artisans who reply fast show “Usually replies within an hour” on their profile.

Clients pay when they book, and we hold the money. When the client confirms the job is done, your earnings are sent to your mobile money. JobKonar keeps 8% of each job (5% on the Pro plan); for a GH₵150 job you receive GH₵138. You can see exactly what you will earn before you accept a request. A small mobile money transfer charge is deducted from each payout.

• The client's address is shared only after they have paid.
• You chat with clients inside the app, so your phone number stays private.
• You can cancel a paid job up to 12 hours before it starts, and never after you tap “On my way”, so clients can rely on you.
