How we keep hiring safe
Trust is the whole product. Here is what we do, and what we do not do.

Ghana Card checks
Artisans send their Ghana Card and a live selfie, which are checked against each other. Artisans who have passed show a Ghana Card badge on their profile. We are rolling this check out, so some newer artisans may not have it yet. The card number is used to make sure one card cannot be used for two accounts. Checks are repeated every year.
Your payment is held until the job is done
We hold your payment and release it to the artisan only after you confirm the work, or automatically 24 hours after they mark it complete.
Your details stay private
Artisans see your address only after you pay. Chats, including any photos you share, stay inside the app, so nobody needs your phone number. Reviews show only your first name. Artisans' ID photos are visible only to our review staff, every view is recorded, and the photos are deleted 30 days after a decision.
Honest reviews
Only clients with a finished job can review. Clients and artisans rate each other, and a review appears once both have rated or after 14 days, so neither side can reply to a review with a revenge rating. Clients can also send a private note to our team, which the artisan never sees.
If something goes wrong
Open the job in the app and tell us what happened. A team member reviews the evidence from both sides. Refunds and fee changes need approval from two staff members.
Report or block someone
If anyone is rude, makes you feel unsafe or tries to scam you, report them from the job or from their profile. Our team reads every report and the person is not told it was you. You can also block someone, so you do not see each other in search and cannot book or bid on each other.
Registered companies
Companies on JobKonar add their registration certificate and tax certificate, and the director's Ghana Card is checked. Our team approves the documents before the “Registered company” badge appears.
