Terms of use

JobKonar is a marketplace that connects clients with independent artisans. Artisans are not employees of JobKonar. The contract for each job is between the client and the artisan.

You must be 18 or older and use your own mobile number. Clients may join from outside Ghana with their own country's number. Artisans and agents need a Ghana mobile number. One phone number holds one account, which can act as a client, an artisan, or both. Keep your PIN private. We never ask for it.

Clients pay the artisan's price plus a marketplace fee. Payments are processed by Paystack and held until the job is confirmed. Artisans receive the price less a service fee shown before they accept a request. Amounts are in Ghana cedis.

A client may cancel a paid job up to 12 hours before its start time and is refunded the price and the marketplace fee. An artisan may also cancel a paid job up to 12 hours before its start time, and the client is then refunded in full. Within 12 hours of the start time a paid job can no longer be cancelled by either side, and an artisan may not cancel after tapping “On my way”. The payment processing charge is not refunded.

A client and an artisan may agree a different price through the app before the job is accepted. The agreed price, plus the fees shown, is what the client pays. Do not ask for or accept payment outside JobKonar.

Only clients with a confirmed job can review, and artisans can rate clients. Reviews must be honest and about the job. A review is published when both sides have rated, or after 14 days. We may hide reviews that are abusive or false. Private notes to JobKonar are not published.

Artisans may be asked to verify their identity with their Ghana Card. Until the check is switched on, profiles without a Ghana Card badge have not been checked. Once it is on, artisans who have not verified may be removed from search until they do.

Agents earn a fixed amount for each artisan they refer who becomes fully onboarded (profile finished, a service added and live on JobKonar). Pay is reviewed every week, is paid only for weeks that meet the minimum shown on the agents page, and starts after our team approves it. An agent who misses the weekly goal two weeks in a row may be removed, and earned money for completed weeks is still paid. Agents must not create fake accounts or mislead people, and we may withhold pay and close the account if they do.

Do not share contact details to avoid the app, post false reviews, or use someone else's identity. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
